Atomic Constraint

Concept

An atomic constraint is the simplest, indivisible form of a constraint in an Extended Conditional Constraint Satisfaction Problem (ECondCSP), typically expressed as a predicate over variables (e.g., a=b or c>3). Atomic constraints serve as the leaf nodes of ECondCSP parse trees and are combined via logical operators (and, or, not, imply) into complex constraints by the ECondCSP builder.

Atomic Constraint

Definition

An atomic constraint is the simplest form of constraint in an Extended Conditional Constraint Satisfaction Problem (ECondCSP). It cannot be divided into simpler expressions. Atomic constraints are the elementary building blocks from which complex ECondCSP constraints are constructed by linking them with logical operators such as and, or, not, and implies.
